It has been 9 months since my accident that changed my life forever. I am so very thankful for the amazing progress that I have made. I have been back to work full time for 3 months and I never thought I would be so very excited to be able to go to work everyday. I am so very thankful and blessed to have such an amazing family, friends, and coworkers. I finally got rid of the crutches, cane, and brace it is such freedom to not have those anymore. I am still doing physical therapy twice a week trying to get my knee to work again it is a slow and painful process but my motto is no pain, no gain. :) I haven't got back to running yet but I have got back to getting outside and going for walks which I am so thankful to be able to do. So very thankful to my Heavenly Father for the many blessings he has blessed me with and for the many miracles that I have been so very blessed with.

Don't forget to mark this on your calenders.  We hope you will come celebrate with us.
Happy day for Andrea.  She was just given the OK from HR to go back to work.
Andrea was cleared by the orthopedic surgeon to do whatever she is able to do and does not have to go back to see him until July.  She was very happy the day HR gave her the ok to go back to work.  She had to keep it a secret for a few days (which was hard to do).  At the employee Christmas party she was able to tell them the good news that she was coming back to work the day after Christmas.  She was able to go back home and back to work.

Andrea back in her scrubs and name badge.
Andrea is so happy to be back at work.  She gets around now with a crutch (Dr. House style, except she does it the correct way, he does it the wrong way).  Sometimes she is able to walk all on her own, a miracle we are very grateful for.  You are such an amazing gal Andrea.  We are so happy for you and your positive attitude.  You truly are an inspiration and a walking miracle.

4 Months since accident

Well it has been 4 months since my accident I have been able to start range of motion physical therapy on the knee about a month ago and just last week the doctor gave me the okay to start putting weight on my leg. It has been 4 months since my leg has had weight on it. It felt very weird there isn't too much pain just have to retrain my leg to work again. It is kind of weird to have to concentrate so hard on making my leg function. But hopefully with time and a lot of hard work it will continue to get better. I also had the Wound VAC removed about a week and a half ago the wound is still healing but is so much smaller than what it was when we first started. Wound VACs are amazing and I am so very thankful for modern medical technology. I am also so very thankful for the many prayers that have been said in my behalf. I thank my Heavenly Father everyday for my wonderful family and great friends and for the many blessings that he has blessed me with!! Those that say miracles do not exist anymore I beg to differ, because I have been the recipient of miracle after miracle over the last 4 months!
